John Force has responded to rumors suggesting that current Funny Car tuner Mike Neff will serve as his crew chief in 2010 if his fourth team is parked.

The fourteen-time world champion confirmed that is just one of several scenarios his team has considered in an unofficial “flow chart” for the upcoming season.

“Everything is up in the air,” Force said, regarding rumors that he’ll parked the fourth Funny Car on his team driven by Neff. “We had meetings recently in Indy and we did shuffle some things around. We have some sponsor meetings next week and for financial reasons, I do have to evaluate the fourth program. I have to evaluate a lot of things.”

The fourteen-time world champion confirmed that is just one of several scenarios his team has considered in an unofficial “flow chart” for the upcoming season.

We have some sponsor meetings next week and for financial reasons, I do have to evaluate the fourth program. I have to evaluate a lot of things.”

Force has experienced a significant amount of employee turnover in the last few weeks but that can be attributed to the team owner’s decision to relocate much of his race operations to the Indianapolis-shop from the California base.

Force added that he isn’t releasing any of his tuners at this time but hinted that he’s planning some shuffling in assignments for underachieving programs. He declined to discuss any of the rumors surrounding the potential retirement of longtime crew chief Austin Coil.

Force confirmed that the  direction the “flow chart” will take, will be clearer by the end of next week.
