OHIO CRANKSHAFT NO BOX NATIONALS HEADED TO INDY

Triple O Promotions has announced that the 3rd Annual Ohio Crankshaft No Box Nationals will be held June 25-27th, 2010 at O’Reilly Raceway Park at Indianapolis.

“We are thrilled about moving this race to the home of the ‘Big Go,” said Greg Dillman, who co-owns the event with Allyn Neff. “Allyn and I have been racing together; mostly competing, for many years and now we are able to move this race to a place that has been home to us for a long time.”

The first two Ohio Crankshaft No Box Nationals were held at Bunker Hill Dragstrip in Kokomo, IN. “Steve Daniels and his crew at Bunker have been great to us and guided us from what started out as just an idea to the making’s of one of the best No Box races in the Midwest,” said Neff. “We felt apprehensive about switching venues but felt it was necessary in order to build our race up to its highest potential.”

With the move to O’Reilly Raceway Park at Indianapolis, just an hour and a half south of Bunker Hill, the Ohio Crankshaft No Box Nationals will now have a premier drag racing facility to compliment its one of a kind No Box only event. “I have raced here my whole life and feel that the facility itself is unsurpassed in terms of everything it has to offer,” claimed Dillman. “O’Reilly Raceway Park is where the biggest and the most prestigious race’s are held.  Overall, I think that the switch to ORP will only enhance our race and give us a fighting chance to cultivate and expand into the race that we dream one day it can be.”

Along with a new venue in 2010, the Ohio Crankshaft No Box Nationals will have a slightly new format also.  The pre-entry price of $225 will stay the same but instead of having two $7500 races, the 2010 event will host two $5000 to win races on Saturday June 26th and one $5000 to win race on Sunday June 27th.  Each race will start paying $50 round money with a 3rd round win.  “Racers asked for it so we did it” said Dillman.  “Allyn & I think having three races in two days is a really great deal for the racers.”

As in previous years there will be a Friday Test and Tune operated by O’Reilly Raceway Park with some sort of Gamblers Race to be contested later in the evening.
