To jumpstart Elite Performance, Richard Freeman [president of Elite Motorsports and IHRA Pro Stock driver] has hired Jimmy Oliver.

Oliver, who previously worked for Tom Hammonds, has built his reputation as a respected engine builder over the last 30 years. Oliver recently took Hammonds to 8th and 4th place qualified positions at the NHRA Carolina’s Nationals and NHRA Fall Nationals, respectively, and has taken other drivers, such as Jim Yates and Kenny Koretsky, to top qualifying spots with leased engines.

“We are very excited about this new endeavor and looking forward to have Jimmy come on board,” said Freeman. “Jimmy is a very talented engine builder, and he will make an excellent addition to our program. We have provided ride and drive programs in everything from Competition Eliminator to IHRA Pro Stock. Now we’re moving forward to ride and drive programs in NHRA Pro Stock. We understand the level of excellence demanded by NHRA Pro Stock and to that effect, we built a brand new facility with all state-of-the-art equipment. In every venture we undertake, we give it 110% and strive to be nothing less than the best. Elite Performance will be no different.”
