In a race where the Mason Dixon line separates a spirited group of competitors in many aspects ranging from heritage to bragging rights, not mention a $50,000 purse, two teams of eight from the North and South slugged it out for three days before an energized outside of Greensboro, NC.

Rini stopped the local favorite Travis Hervey in the final round.

He worked his way through the field by qualifying No. 1 and defeated Robbie Keziah, John Prime and Gilmer Hinshaw to reach the final round.

"I want to thank CARQUEST Auto Parts, Speedtech, Buck Racing Engines, XS Power Batteries, my Crew Chief Scott Cozolli, Tim Davis and everyone who's helped me throughout the year," Rini said. "I also want to give a special thank you to David and Rhonda Lambert, who let me keep my truck and trailer at their house all season long."

Rini will be back in action next weekend in Atlanta where he will compete in an ORSCA event.

In Renegade action, Bubba "The Burner" Turner defeated Stacy Hall.
