Former NHRA Comp and Modified racer Carlos Lawrence, 67, passed away September 22.

Lawrence was well known in class racing circles and once teamed with Ed Hamburger, of Hamburger Oil Pans fame, on a Super Stock Plymouth Duster in the 1970s. Former NHRA Comp and Modified racer Carlos Lawrence, 67, passed away September 22.

Lawrence was well known in class racing circles and once teamed with Ed Hamburger, of Hamburger Oil Pans fame, on a Super Stock Plymouth Duster in the 1970s.

Lawrence, along with son Mike, owned and operated W&M Custom Trailers.

Visitation is scheduled for Friday, September 25, from 5:00 - 8:00 PM at the Fitch-Denney Funeral Home located at 455 Ridge Avenue in Lawrenceburg, Ind. The funeral is scheduled for Saturday at 11 AM and will be hosted by Fitch-Denney.

Internment will immediately follow the funeral at Arlington Cemetary in Mt. Healthy, Ohio. There will be a reception at Greendale Church of Christ located next to Fitch-Denney following internment.
