B&J RACING TRANSMISSIONS ADDS BONUS TO WINNER'S OF NHRA'S GSA PRO MOD CHALLENGE

pm_final.JPGB&J Racing Transmissions has always been a proud supporter of the Get Screened America Pro Mod Challenge and its competitors, and beginning at the U.S. Nationals and for every race throughout the remainder of the season, the company increased their commitment and added excitement to the first round of eliminations by awarding $500 to the winner of a randomly-selected pair of Pro Mods.

During the drivers meeting held before every race, a number (1-16) is randomly selected that designates a pair that will race for the B&J Bonus. In Indianapolis, Danny Rowe received the first $500 check, and at Charlotte for the NHRA Carolinas Nationals, Burton Auxier won the Bonus along with a matching prize from Rick Stivers' Stivers HVAC.

Mike Strasberg, owner of B&J Transmissions, said, "We love Pro Mod racing, and the Get Screened America Pro Mod Challenge puts on a show of the very best cars from around the world. It's our privilege to support the series as a sponsor, as well as add some more excitement to the Saturday night eliminations rounds.

"It's a format that doesn't necessarily reward the No.1 qualifier, but instead keeps the drivers dialed in to what number they qualify and who they are paired against. It's just another way to keep things exciting for the fans as well as the teams," he said.

Get Screened America CEO Roger Burgess said, "We definitely appreciate guys like Mike and companies like B&J that support the series. Any time someone wants to give our drivers more prize money, I'm all in for that. We have worked hard all year to put on a great show and continue to raise the level of competition and professionalism in our series, and it is programs like this that help us raise the bar."
