LARSON TO DRIVE THE AEROMOTIVE MUSTANG IN INDY

Aeromotive Fuel Systems announced that racecar builder and fabricator Larry Larson will drive Aeromotive’s twin turbo, Ford Mustang in Aeromotive-car.jpgAA/AT at the NHRA U.S. Nationals in Indianapolis, Indiana. The Mac Tools U.S. Nationals begin September 2 and wraps up on the 7th. “We’re really excited to have Larry drive the car. After all, he built this car and I think anytime that he has behind the wheel and on the track will be invaluable for our racing program down the line,” said Steve Matusek, Aeromotive President and current driver of the car.

Aeromotive’s decision to bring Larry into the mix came after Matusek suffered a season ending injury. While Steve will make a full recovery and is operating as usual, a surgery on his Achilles Tendon will keep him out of the driver’s seat for most the remaining ’09 season. In contrast, for Larry, the timing is impeccable. Larry is the owner of Larson Race Cars (LRC) based out of Oak Grove, MO, a suburb of Kansas City. Some of the more recent cars built by Larry and LRC include successful ADRL Pro Extreme driver Travis Swearingen, the quickest and fastest turbo powered Pro Mod, Mike Moran and others including David Schorr and Tony Nesbitt. In addition, Larry is gearing up for the annual Hot Rod Drag Week starting in his back yard at Kansas City International Raceway, September 11, 2009. Larry and his Nova are reining Champions and are looking to be the first ever repeat Champs.

Larry Larson is also on the verge of a new venture with the upcoming launch of LRCRaceParts.com, an online performance parts distributor specializing in high-end race parts and packages. LRCRaceParts.com is also a Ford Racing Distributor, offering the complete Ford Racing catalog. While scheduled to go live late this summer, LRCRaceParts.com will continue to expand their product offering by bringing on new manufacturers even after going live.
