HARVEY WINS DOORCARPALOOZA

Travis Harvey defeated Darrin Hoyle for the Doorcarpalooza Mad Dawg title at Mooresville Dragway in Mooresville, N.C.

Harvey entered eliminations as the No. 1 qualifier and defeated Sambo Price, Todd Howard and Hoyle in the final round. He used a 4.12 elapsed time at 175 miles per hour to secure the victory.

Approximately eleven months earlier Harvey captured his first Mad Dawg title at Mooresville.

"The same 762 Brett Nesbitt motor that won last year is the same motor that won tonight, it's just in a different car," said Harvey, as he spoke of the latest Camaro from Race Tech Race Cars. “My engine man, Brett Nesbitt, doesn't get the credit he deserves because he hasn't been building these big motors very long, but I'd put him against Gene Fulton or Sonny Leonard any day."
 
Other winners at Mooresville on Saturday night include, Mike Heath over Clay "Baby Boy" McCauley in the Little Dawg final. In Renegade action, Bubba "The Burner" Turner got past John Salley.
