STOFFER PITCHING FOR THE A'S TONIGHT?

Pro Stock Motorcycle racer Karen Stoffer will throw out the ceremonial first pitch before the Oakland A’s vs. Minnesota Twins game on Wednesday, July 22, at 12:35 p.m. at the Oakland Coliseum.

DSA_6506.jpgPro Stock Motorcycle racer Karen Stoffer will throw out the ceremonial first pitch before the Oakland A’s vs. Minnesota Twins game on Wednesday, July 22, at 12:35 p.m. at the Oakland Coliseum.

Stoffer returns this weekend to Infineon Raceway for the FRAM Autolite NHRA Nationals as the defending No. 1 qualifier in Pro Stock Motorcycle. She reached the quarterfinals last season before losing to eventual winner Matt Guidera.

Stoffer, who rides the GEICO Powersports Suzuki on the NHRA Full Throttle Drag Racing Series, is eager to throw out the first pitch at a Major League Baseball stadium close to home.  A native of the San Fernando Valley, she began her racing career in Southern California and currently resides in Reno.
