“I’m going with the hot driver in Funny Car,” Koretsky said Wednesday.  “I said Tony was a winner before our last race at Englishtown (N.J., June 14) and he proved it on the track.  He has all the tools to win, and he’s a great driver.  His team is consistent, and that’s what it takes to win the championship.

“We would like to see Tony win his second straight race with Nitro Fish – and his third straight overall – on Sunday.”

The back-to-back wins thrust Pedregon into the series lead with 818 points.  He’s 20 ahead of Ashley Force Hood and 26 in front of Ron Capps.

“We set the bar pretty high after winning in our first weekend with the Nitro Fish brand,” said Pedregon. “The only goal for us now is to try to repeat.  Nitro Fish fans had a very positive reaction to our Funny Car.  Kenny and I are excited about extending this promotion and we are looking forward to this weekend’s race at Norwalk.”
