WERNER MAKES GOOD USE OF TIME AWAY FROM FULL THROTTLE RACING TOUR
 
Elon Werner, who usually plies his trade as crack PR rep for John Force Racing, spent the weekend getting in touch with his feminine side at the annual Texas Giant dance recital at the Cedar Hill Community Center.
 
Although Werner’s performance was warmly received by a turnaway crowd, the 39-year-old Texan reportedly declined an offer to join the touring company and instead will return next week to the NHRA Full Throttle Drag Racing tour for its annual stop at Route 66 Raceway in Joliet, Ill.
 
“I am having the hardest time with the plie,” Werner said, “and until I perfect it, I will not dance publicly.”
 
There is a “tutus optional” dress code at the Route 66 Nationals.
