FOLEY TAPES SEGMENT ON SPEED TV's POPULAR PASS TIME SHOW

Top Fuel driver and drag racing school owner Doug Foley recently made a special appearance on SPEED TV's wildly popular Pass Time show, which airs 7:30 p.m., Monday-Friday.

The Pass Time crew was filming several episodes at zMax Dragway in Charlotte and Foley was at the track conducting his school at the same time. When Pass Time host Brett Wagner and his sidekick Ken "The House" Herring heard Foley was on the property, they quickly tracked him down and invited him to take part in the show.

Needing little coaxing, Foley jumped in one of the Dragster Experience rails he uses at his school and wheeled the 400-horsepower dragster over to the set. After some good-natured ribbing from Wagner and Herring, who wondered aloud whether he could handle the speed, Foley, whose career-best speed in a Top Fuel dragster is 331 mph, took to the track and raced down the strip.

Pass Time allows select fans to join Herring on a three-person panel where they size up a contestant's car and engine set-up and guess how the hot rod will perform. The fan that guesses closest to the actual time wins cash from Wagner.

"That was a lot of fun," said Foley, who refused to divulge the results of his race until the show airs. "The entire Pass Time crew was very cool and you could tell right away that they're really into drag racing. Naturally, we had a common bond.

"We turn our clients loose on the track all day in these Dragster Experience rails and I must have made thousands of passes over the years since we started the school back in 1997 but I have to say that was the most exciting one of all. We usually don't have TV cameras following our every move when we run the school cars. It was a real kick for my staff, that's for sure."

The segment featuring Foley will air soon on Pass Time, which bills itself as the ultimate drag racing game show. New this season is the addition of themed weeks including "Law Enforcement Week" and "Military Week," where police officers and members of the armed forces will take their turn on the panel.
