POWERFUL ALL-ALUMINUM SMALL BLOCK FORD ENGINES FROM WORLD PRODUCTS
A World Products aluminum “Man O’War” block is the foundation for the engine. It incorporates key features like priority main oiling and provisions for two extra head bolts per cylinder lacking in the Ford OEM blocks. The bottom end is reinforced with splayed billet steel main caps secured with ARP hardware. An electronically balanced rotating assembly consisting of a 4340 forged steel crank, 4340 forged steel H-beam rods and Mahle or Manley forged aluminum pistons is employed.
The 349 and 371 c.i.d. packages features an 8.200” deck Man O’War aluminum block and heads (18° valve angle, 200cc intake runners), are rated at 405 and 455 horsepower respectively, and are a direct bolt-in replacement for the 289/302/5.0L factory offerings. The larger 427 and 460 c.i.d. packages, which are based on a taller 9.500” deck block, come with 235cc intake aluminum heads, and have ratings from 495 to 625 horsepower.
