When it comes to high horsepower and limited tire size in drag race applications where the more durable GM TH400 transmission is needed, tire spin has always been an issue. The higher first gear ratio decreases the intensity of the initial launch for reduced tire spin. In addition, the heavy-duty planetary construction is a CNC-machined billet carrier that provides a more concentric gearing system for improved performance and bullet proof durability.
