PHOENIX DRAG TIRES ANNOUNCES NEW RADIAL SIZE

Phoenix Drag Tires, the flagship brand of Coker Tire’s Performance Division, is pleased to announce that the wait is over and DRAGREAR220.JPGproduction is now complete on its brand new PH56R 14.5/32.0-15R drag radial.  Available in the legendary F9 compound, the tire is representative of Phoenix’s commitment to develop the fastest tires in all of drag racing.

Performance Division VP Mike Crutchfield says that based upon the tremendous success he’s seen in testing, you can expect an immediate impact on the results of the NHRA Lucas Oil and other series.  “The secret is out regarding the Phoenix Radial’s success.  About a year ago we developed the PH55R 13.6/32.0-15R and introduced it in competition, and it’s been at the top of the qualifying order and race results in super stock and comp eliminator ever since.  So it’s only natural that we would build upon the success of this tire by offering the slightly larger PH56R 14.5/32.0-15R for a wider range of applications.

Also of note is Phoenix’s support of the NHRA Lucas Oil Series in the form of contingency prize money.  Crutchfield adds, “We’ve already got a clear presence at NHRA events, therefore we feel like it’s time to expand the product range, and offer financial incentives to those racers who’re buying our stuff and winning on it.”

Phoenix Drag Tires, a division of the Coker Tire Company, produces premium drag slicks for a variety of applications, and is available in over 30 different sizes and compounds to choose from.
