FEEDBACK FRIDAY - GIVE US ADRL

FEEDBACK ARTICLE - DRAG RACING, AN EIGHTH MILE AT A TIME

We are looking a adrl for our next challenge 1/8 is attractive for safety and
cost, especially when you are funding your own ca. - Guy Kelley, Wadely, Ala.

FEEDBACK FRIDAY - WJ's SECRET WEAPON

I think they made good move in Terry Adams, he has been a long time friend and a
competitor a few years back. Terry knows how to win races. I wish them a lot more
wins all great people. - Terry Adams, Middlesex, NC

FEEDBACK FRIDAY - PRAYING TO WIN

Just wanted to say I
enjoyed reading your column today on the CompPlus website. I always found it a
bit humorous (not sure if that is really the correct word, maybe pompous,
ironic, contradictory) that sporting teams would pray before a game, and even
though most coaches or team chaplains that did it properly would follow your
guidelines of not simply praying for a win, but for "safety, God's help for team
members to do their best," I couldn't help but think a lot of people were just
praying for a win.

Keep up the great
work. - Travis

FEEDBACK FRIDAY - JUST LET IT GO

FEEDBACK ARTICLE - JERRY ECKMAN IS READY TO TALK

Jerry has suffered enough!  When a team screws up it is always the driver who suffers the most.  None of us have to be a brain surgeon to know that other Pro Stock teams once used the "juice".  NHRA made a business decision when a well known team was not "officially penalized" due to there team's sponsor also being a major NHRA race sponsor at the time.

Whether you believe Jerry's story or not (I do), I surely feel that he has suffered enough.

Come on EVERYONE and EVERY organization just let it go! – George Peake, Ocean City, MD.

FEEDBACK FRIDAY - THREE SIDES TO EVERY STORY

FEEDBACK ARTICLE - JERRY ECKMAN IS READY TO TALK

Very interesting article on Jerry Eckman!
There are always three sides to a story (your version, their version, and God's
version), but Jerry's version seems real enough.  Why can't drag racing's
Pete Rose be forgiven?  It’s human nature to hold a grudge as well as to
point at someone else because of your own weakness.  Like Pete Rose, Jerry
made a decision (he DID decide to proceed with the warm-up; whether or not the
system was hooked up doesn't matter; it was there) that will haunt him for the
rest of his life.  It’s a sad side of humanity.  Best wishes for
Jerry and his family.  God knows what happened, and He forgives when
asked.  I'll never think of Jerry like I have in the past. – Chad Dailey, Arlington, TX.

FEEDBACK FRIDAY - A PRO STOCK RACER SPEAKS

FEEDBACK ARTICLE - JERRY ECKMAN IS READY TO TALK

I met Jerry Eckman back in my early years of Pro
Stock racing after this whole mess transpired.  I can say this, Jerry
Eckman was a great racer and accomplished at lot in Pro Stock racing and I am
behind him 100% and believe what happened to him whole heartedly.  He was
one of the guys I looked up too before I ever strapped myself into a Pro Stock
car.

I feel he was the scapegoat and it really sucks.  Jerry if you read this,
know I believe you got the shaft and I wish I could turn back time and give you
your career back.  Good Luck to you in the future, I hope you get another
shot behind the wheel. – Tony Gillig, Wauconda,
IL

FEEDBACK FRIDAY - ORNDORFF SHOULD COME FORWARD

FEEDBACK ARTICLE - JERRY ECKMAN IS READY TO TALK

I really appreciate Jerry's honesty in the
matter. I think the story was told with the truth, and presented in such a way
as not to bring judgment on anyone.

Everyone makes mistakes in life... It seems His was trusting someone else’s
judgment. If Mr. Orndorff " truly regretted what happened, he should come
forward to the powers that be at  NHRA and make amends for his actions and
fight to get Jerry's privileges re-instated.  – Mitchel Perkins, Wetumpka Alabama

FEEDBACK FRIDAY - A JERRY FAN

FEEDBACK ARTICLE - JERRY ECKMAN IS READY TO TALK

Your interview with Jerry Eckman was such a
welcome sight as many of us as drag racing fans are still VERY STRONG fans of
Jerry. I will always look up to Jerry as one of the best Pro Stock drivers in
the history of the class. He is a class act and it is a shame that his
career/life has been cut short due to the team owner's careless ways to gain
performance at Jerry's expense. NHRA should allow Jerry to compete and somehow
forgive the monetary fines that have been put in place due to the long-term
effect it has had on his career/life.

I am more of a nitro fan that Pro Stock, but if Jerry was to race again, it
would give me someone to cheer for in the class! - Tim Roberts, Leander, TX

FEEDBACK FRIDAY - NO RESPECT FOR POLICY

FEEDBACK ARTICLE - JERRY ECKMAN IS READY TO TALK

As the months go by I feel less and less respect for the NHRA policy makers due to issues such as this and others that have transpired.

Seems all too familiar that there is evidence to the contrary that Jerry did nothing but they continue to make him pay to save their own face, quite pitiful...are there no real men there ? Evidently not. They knew about the other incidents, but it was all about money, everyone knew that. But as with all secrets long kept, they can't bear the shame of revealing the truth now.

This type of nonsense has trickled down to a PC drag racing game they have put the NHRA name on. There are problems and the replies are "none", no response whatsoever from all those involved.........quite pitiful.

They way things are going NHRA will soon stand for "Not Having Races Anymore". - Leon D. Royster, Washingtonville, New York

FEEDBACK FRIDAY - IN A BAD SITUATION

FEEDBACK ARTICLE - JERRY ECKMAN IS READY TO TALK

Eckman is an honorable man caught in a bad situation. This punishment does not fit the infraction. The NHRA knows it should have gone alot father to look at other teams. A lot of other teams. Never cut a person so deep he can’t heal up! It was a mistake, learn from it and move forward. Pardon Eckman be fair enough is enough! – William Brown, Swartzcreek, MI.
