Killer article!! Kansas John was my racing hero when I was growing up. My Dad (Speedy Day) campaigned a low budget AHRA Top Fueler in the mid 70's, and we ran a lot of John's 'left-overs'. He was always the coolest and treated his fans and
fellow racers with respect. And he didn't mind helping the little guy either.

Reading your article reminded me of what racing used to be all about. And brought back a ton of fond memories of growing up at race tracks all across the Midwest. Thank you for acknowledging one of Drag Racings best competitors ever! - Steve Day
