Robert Patrick was born and bred a mountain motor Pro Stock guy. Growing up watching the veterans of the mega inch displacement factory hot rod racers the likes of Rickie Smith, Ronnie Sox and Lee Edwards, Patrick followed in their footsteps and eventually joined them as a champion racing IHRA mountain motor Pro Stock. Patrick tried his hand in 500-inch Pro Stock and also the eighth-mile mountain motor scene before making the switch to Pro Modified. He proved you can always go home by rejoining his original racer series the IHRA during the IHRA Nitro Jam President's Cup at his home track in Budds Creek, Md.
