FATHER'S DAY VIDEO AT CPTV: MY BOY HE'S JUST LIKE ME

Harry Chapin once sang, “As I hung up the phone it occurred to me my boy had grown up just like me, my boy was just like me.”

There’s no doubt Chad Head is a younger version of the same Jim Head, which barnstormed the nitro scene for the last twenty years.

Jim is now retired from driving in a short time behind the wheel of his father’s car Chad already has a No. 1 qualifier and made himself a viable candidate for NHRA’s Rookie of the Year honors.

However, as much as racing is a part of the father and son’s life, it’s not the only facet.

Earlier this year, Chad resigned a high profile position with the Al-Anabi team to become a partner in Jim’s Head Inc. business. He’s learning the ropes of the family business as quickly as he’s mastering the ins and outs of nitro racing.

Chad understands he has a long way to get to where his dad is. Jim does too. Together, they are charting new waters, and as the early results show both are on the road to success.

In this video, they discuss what the journey has been like to this point.
