New Mexico resident Johnny Gray was in Las Vegas walking the pits, but decidedly not “working the pits,” i.e., he wasn’t actively seeking a ride.  Gray last competed in a Chuck and Del Worsham-owned CSK-backed machine, but he would not return to action in a similar arrangement with anyone.

Right now he’s “workin’ in the oil fields,” but admits that he’d like to return to full time competition if the right opportunity came up.  “I’m lookin’,” he admitted, but quickly added that if he does return it will “be my own deal.”  He also acknowledged that he does have a few irons in the fire, but is a long way from getting anything signed that would return him to the track.
