BAD WEATHER FORECAST POSTPONES SUPER CHEVY SHOW

The Super Chevy Show & Night of Thunder event scheduled for this weekend at US 131 Motorsports Park will be postponed. The threat of severe weather and significantly lower temperatures prompted the track officials to change the event date to September 12th and 13th.

Track manager Jason Peterson struggled making this decision and understands fan frustration. “With such a nice show planned and so many people traveling a good distance to attend this weekend, we feel that it is in the best interest for all to reschedule this event for later in the year.” Peterson went on to add, “More people than ever are making plans based on weather forecasts. It is unfortunate that our business is so reliant on not only the “real” weather, but also the forecasted weather.”

The plan is to now host the Super Chevy Show in conjunction with the famed Funny Car Nationals presented by Discount Tire event September 12th thru the 13th. The Funny Car Nationals event already has a great show lined up with Nostalgia Nitro Funny Cars. A good portion of the Night of Thunder event will also be in attendance at this rescheduled event such as the Nitro Fuel Altereds and fan favorite Bob Motz the “King of Quake” in his Jet-powered Kenworth.

All tickets purchased in advance of the May event will be honored on September 12 or 13.
