John Hale will return to familiar territory. The rookie NHRA Mello Yello Series driver will return to his roots behind the wheel of a nitro-burning nostalgia Funny Car during the Good Vibrations March Meet in Bakersfield, Ca.

Hale will debut his One Bad Texan paint scheme this weekend and said he plans to compete in as many as ten nostalgia events in 2015.

"The March Meet is one of the biggest events on the nostalgia circuit, and to be bringing out a brand new paint scheme this weekend is something I'm really proud of," Hale said. "We have worked hard this off-season to make everything possible, but without the help from Worsham Racing, Steve Shuck and RJ and Tyson at Car Wrap City we would not have made it in time for the event."

Hale is no stranger to the Bakersfield winners circle, having won the NHRA Hot Rod Reunion in 2011 and 2013.

"We have had the same guys on our team for the past few years and I think that consistency is key." Hale said. "So with their hard work and dedication, and the knowledge of my crew chief, Guy Tipton, I feel very confident that we can win this race. The March Meet has not been kind to us and we plan to change that this weekend."

The 2015 Good Vibrations March Meet kicks off Friday, March 5th with one round of Nitro qualifying at 3:15 p.m, PST.
