The largest thanks go out to my father and crew chief Roger Simmons. His love for this sport is reason I am wrapped up in it and also to my step Mom Sue. She looks after all of us at the track like none other.

Simmons Salemi’s husband, Jon Salemi owner of Resolution Racing Services alleged, Melanie developed as a driver this season without a doubt. She was very consistent on the tree and drove the stripe very well. She picked up when the car wasn’t perfect to get this team the wins we needed. The Toyrific team made a total of 84 runs in 2013 making it to the finishline on all but one attempt. Melanie said, Jon and Dad gained more experience with tuning a bracket car and make it consistent. Jon spent a lot of time on the flow bench refining the fuel system and that was a great help with running the number and also increasing our performance. Week in and week out my Dad gave me a car that was flawlessly prepared and our ERD engine never missed a beat. I am looking forward to our next challenges in the upcoming season.

Toyrific Racing plans to upgrade its engine program for the 2014 season and improve on consistency and performance. There are always places to improve. That is our goal each year. Technology and achieving more data in different conditions always play into the success of a team and that is our plan for 2014, said Roger Simmons.
