Kalee Adkins is probably one of the most determined girls you will ever meet.  This sixteen-year-old Tennessean has set some major goals she wants to achieve.  Kalee is a junior at Sullivan East High School, and maintains a 3.5 GPA.  After high school Kalee would like to attend the University of Tennessee, and major in Business Management and minor in Accounting.

She has just recently landed a major sponsorship with Mike Ashley’s Lend America. Before Lend America, Torco's CompetitionPlus.com was her major sponsor for 2 years. "While I had Competition Plus as my major sponsor I got quite a bit of attention," she said, "because you don't see many young drivers out there with such a big name/company on the side of their car. This year will be all about learning and understanding the car, we are going to start out doing bracket races at Thunder Valley (Bristol Dragway, located in Bristol, TN), after we have a couple of those under our belt we are going to start running many division two races."

School and academics are very important to this rising young star. After graduating college she would like to start her own Mortgage Broker business, and make a well-known name for herself.  “Racing will always be apart of me,” she says, “it’s not just something I can stop doing, I really have a profound love for this sport.  After I graduate high school I plan to put racing on hold, my education is very important to me and is my number one priority.”

But that doesn’t mean she will put it on hold forever, “I would really like to make racing apart of my career, I really enjoy going out every other weekend and getting together with friends and family and racing.”  However she doesn’t know if that will happen as soon as she would like. “ I want to graduate college, and start my business before I get into racing professionally, which is a downer because I love the sport so much.”

“Everything will work out, I have absolutely no doubt about that.  I have very high hopes and dreams that will come true.  Right now I’m really just concentrating on finishing high school and working for an academic scholarship.”

“I want to become one of those people that leaves and impact on a person’s life.  People will remember my name and so will you.  I am going to grow and give my all in all things that I do.  Kalee Adkins, it will do you good to remember that name, because I can guarantee that you will be hearing it again.”
