Dale Brinsfield took the win at the last Big Dog race of the season at the legendary Piedmont Dragway over Matt Giandrande.

Todd Tutterow had the fans on their feet as his 4.143 in the last round of qualifying stunned the rest of the field.  He proceeded to back that up and lower it during the 1st round of eliminations with an incredible 4.138. 

 

Tutterow and Brinsfield tangled in the semis with Brinsfield getting the best of the battle during a staging duel. The lengthy wait heated up Tutterow’s clutch forcing him to pedal the car running his worst time of the event (4.272) and to add insult to injury, he lost on a holeshot to Brinsfield’s slower 4.286.
