FORMER DAYTONA 500 WINNER HARVICK TO TOUT JEGS MAIL ORDER

NASCAR superstar Kevin Harvick will banner high-performance auto parts giant JEGS Mail Order through a personal services contract that begins immediately. Harvick will feature the JEGS.com logo and toll-free number on the racing helmets he uses on the NASCAR, Nationwide, and Craftsman Truck series.

"JEGS is a great company and we need to make JEGS.com the place for NASCAR fans to go whenever they need high-performance parts," Harvick said. "The Coughlin brothers got involved with NASCAR through the contingency program last year and they have big billboards at most of the tracks. I think this new deal is just a natural progression for their involvement with our sport.

"I've become great friends with John (Coughlin) and recently watched Jeg (Coughlin) race his Pro Stock car in Las Vegas. I'm anxious to meet Troy and Mike as well. We're all racers at heart and that makes this relationship very comfortable right from the start." harvick.jpgNASCAR superstar Kevin Harvick will banner high-performance auto parts giant JEGS Mail Order through a personal services contract that begins immediately. Currently fifth in the championship points, Harvick has 11 career victories in NASCAR, including at the prestigious Daytona 500 in 2007 where he gave JEGS their first win as a contingency sponsor. He also has two championships (2001 and 2006) and 32 wins on the Nationwide Series, and two more victories on the Craftsman Truck tour.

"We think this is a great way for JEGS to get exposure in the top three sanctioning bodies NASCAR offers," said John Coughlin, one of four brothers that run JEGS Mail Order. "Any time Kevin climbs behind the wheel of one of his racecars he gets a lot of attention and now JEGS will be along for the ride right there on his visor. It's exciting to have a driver of his talent as part of Team JEGS.

"I've always been a fan of Kevin. I like the way he races and his desire to win. We had a chance to roam the garage at this year's Daytona 500 and I introduced myself to him. He was very friendly from the start and took my son Cody and I into his transporter to show us around. We just kind of hit it off and he asked us to watch the race from his pit box. What a thrill that was for us.

"We want to have some fun with this new arrangement with him and use his popularity to spread the word about JEGS to the millions of NASCAR fans out there."
