Evan Knoll has confirmed with Torco's CompetitionPlus.com that he will run a Top Fuel car in partnership with Forrest Lucas during the 2007 season. The driver has yet to be named but in all liklihood will be Melanie Troxel as Knoll has confirmed on several occasions that Troxel will have a ride.

Knoll confirmed rumors of tension that had existed between he and team owner Don Schumacher dating back to Indy weekend over the placement of Valvoline decals on his sponsored cars. Reportedly, Knoll is close friends with Lucas and objected to the involvement with Valvoline as an assoicate. The two have since smoothed over the problems but it seems the "peace" was not enough to prevent Knoll from taking his sponsorship business elsewhere.
