PIPO, INC. SPONSORS SUMMIT MOTORSPORTS PARK OPENER

PIPO, Inc., northern Ohio’s largest recycler, has come on board as the title sponsor for the 25th Anniversary PIPO Season Opener presented by Donald M. Graham & Associates and The Norwalk Reflector. The race will be Saturday, April 19, 2008 at Summit Motorsports Park in Norwalk, Ohio. Although PIPO was started in 2005 and is one of Ohio’s newest recyclers, PIPO (Plastic In, Plastic Out) has already recycled millions of pounds of plastic waste for use in manufacturing new products.

“Recycling and being ‘green’ is on everyone’s minds these days,” said Bill Bader, Jr., president of Summit Motorsports Park, “so I’m personally excited to have PIPO, Inc. as a sponsor. They process more than 800 tons of plastic each month, that’s just amazing. And as part of our association with PIPO, Inc., we are recycling all of the track’s waste plastic, too.”

At the PIPO Season Opener, fans will be able to learn which plastic materials can and should be recycled.

PIPO, Inc., is also sponsoring a child for the Make-A-Wish Foundation® and will be making a donation following the PIPO Season Opener. This donation will allow a child with a life-threatening medical condition to have a wish to come true.

PIPO, Inc., is honoring a fan-favorite racer, too, with Bob Motz serving as Grand Marshall of the event. Motz, a popular jet truck racer and one of the biggest draws at Summit Motorsports Park, suffered severe burns over most of his body in an accident last June and has not raced since then. He has been in physical therapy and although he won’t be racing this marks his first appearance at the Norwalk track since racing at the inaugural NHRA Cavalcade of Stars, May, 2007.

The 25th Anniversary PIPO Season Opener presented by Donald M. Graham & Associates and The Norwalk Reflector will have racing beginning at 10:00 am. The main festivities will begin at 6:00 pm with final eliminations afterwards and a fireworks show when racing is over. The monster truck Bigfoot is scheduled to appear along with a full-sized school bus powered with a jet engine from an F-4 jet fighter.
