The ’14 event, the event’s 30th year at The Grove, will be held Oct. 2-5 as part of the Countdown to the Championship.

“Because of the great fans and racers who have supported the Auto-Plus NHRA Nationals and Maple Grove Raceway over the years we are able to bring this event back to Maple Grove Raceway for another five years,” said MGR vice president/general manager Lex Dudas. “We have had a great partnership with NHRA for the past 30 years of the Nationals and we are looking forward to many more.”

While Maple Grove has been affiliated with NHRA since the 1960s, the first Nationals was held here in 1985.

“We are pleased to extend our partnership with Maple Grove Raceway, a track that has been a fan favorite on the NHRA Mello Yello Series circuit for 30 years,” said NHRA president Tom Compton. “With a reputation for producing great racing action and national record performances, Maple Grove Raceway continues to be a great partner in helping to grow the sport of NHRA Drag Racing in the Eastern Pennsylvania region.”

Maple Grove’s event is considered one of the fastest in all of motorsports. Four of the eight current NHRA National Records have been set at Maple Grove in the past two years.
