JON CAPPS TO PILOT WORSHAM FLOPPER IN VEGAS

NHRA Funny Car pilot and Las Vegas, Nev. resident Jon Capps will return to the NHRA Full Throttle Tour behind the wheel of the Worsham Racing Nitro Funny Car this upcoming weekend at SummitRacing.com NHRA Nationals held at “The Strip” at Las Vegas Motor Speedway. Joining Capps for a weekend of racing at his home track will be Recreational Development Company, LLC; the nationally recognized leader in providing design build services, including many of the notable Las Vegas Resorts properties which enhance the Vegas skyline.

Capps returns to the seat of the Worsham Racing Nitro Funny Car after competing and qualifying at the 2011 NHRA Season Finale during the 47th annual Automobile Club of Southern California NHRA Finals, where he qualified with a stout 4.165 elapsed time and lost to 2011 NHRA Fuel Funny Car World Champion Matt Hagan in the opening round. Capps competed in 5 other NHRA Nationals events in 2011 driving the Biesenbach, Inc. sponsored Funny Car of Paul Smith, where he advanced to the semi-finals in Dallas.

“The feeling of racing at home, in front of my family, friends and business partners who helped support my racing endeavors for years is very hard to describe,” noted Capps who made his debut in the NHRA Nitro Funny Car ranks at the same Las Vegas Motor Speedway in 2005. “This deal came about honestly at the last minute and incorporated a little bit of luck along the way. The return to competition for Capps at his hometown track is due thanks to a continued partnership with successful San Antonio, Texas business man David Biesenbach, the owner of Biesenbach, Inc. and the introduction of new marketing partners RDC, LLC., a Nevada-based  full-service design firm who has developed many of the world-renown properties which highlight the Vegas skyline.
