BME, ATTITUDE APPAREL AND COMPETITIONPLUS.COM UNITE FOR COMPLETE INDY COVERAGE

logo_v2Attitude Apparel, CompetitionPlus.com and Bill Miller Engineering will re-unite over the Labor Day weekend to provide the most comprehensive pit-to-track coverage of the 56th annual Mac Tools U.S. Nationals from O’Reilly Raceway Park.

The team that last year broke every major story developed in the NHRA’s marquee event, this year will provide expanded coverage through individual reporters and bloggers assigned exclusively to each professional category.

The Attitude’s CompetitionPlus.com editorial team will consist of publisher/editor Bobby Bennett, Stan Creekmore, Susan Wade and Tracy Renck, each assigned exclusively to one pro category.  In addition, Kelly Wade, widely respected for her insights into sportsman racing, will focus her talents on competition at the second level.

The team of BME/Attitude/CompetitionPlus.com reporters will be supported by bloggers selected for their ability to provide unique insight from track level.  Terry McMillen will blog from within the Top Fuel division.  He’ll be joined by Tim Wilkerson in Funny Car; Rodger Brogdon in Pro Stock; Craig Treble in Pro Stock Motorcycle and Chris Demke, whose blog will focus on the sportsman classes and specifically Top Alcohol Dragster.

“As a kid, I couldn’t wait to read Super Stock and Drag Illustrated’s Indy coverage because each class was covered individually,” Bennett enthused. “I would turn straight to Modified Eliminator.  I believe race fans have their favorite classes and sometimes those classes can get lost in typical race coverage.

compplus-attitude-racersedge“Since Indy isn’t your typical race, it’s only fitting that we provide each class with a dedicated notebook, just like they did in SS&DI.”

Last year’s coverage of the Nationals made a believer of Bill Miller, owner of Billl Miller Engineering and owner and crew chief on the BME/Okuma Top Fuel dragster that will be driven at Indy by Troy Buff.

“Attitude’s CompetitionPlus.com reaches more people faster, better and more accurately than any other website devoted to drag racing,” Miller said.  “They are the leading drag racing e-zine, hands-down.  It works well for my company’s marketing to do this every year.”

In addition to the army of reporters and bloggers, BME-sponsored coverage of the opening event in the NHRA’s Countdown to 1 will be supported by photographers Roger Richards and Rhonda McCole, who will provide exclusive images from the racetrack as well as the pit area.
