Drag racing team owner and driver Kenny “Captain Chaos” Koretsky has chosen Doug Davenport as his first director of motorsports for KPK Motorsports.

Koretsky’s racing stable includes the Clay Millican-driven Nitro Fish Top Fuel dragster, a Nitro Fish Pro Stock entry and a Pro Stock partnership with Greg Hill that has him driving Hill’s Indicom Electric/Nitro Fish Chevrolet Cobalt.

Davenport, of Las Vegas, has an extensive background in drag racing marketing and sponsorship procurement.

“I’ve needed someone with Doug’s talents,” Koretsky said.  “Doug will be able to help us not only in looking for new sponsors, but in assisting our current sponsors and taking the Nitro Fish apparel brand to a new level of distribution.  Doug has been around the sport for along time and knows drag racing success is fueled by dollars.

“My goal when I bought Nitro Fish was to expand its business by getting it into the mainstream retail market.”

“I’m excited about the opportunities ahead,” said Davenport.  “I want to contribute to the success of Kenny’s racing efforts any way I can – from upgrading the apparel web site, building its brand name, securing sponsorships and helping in hospitality.”

Koretsky and Hill merged their Pro Stock teams late in the 2006 season with Koretsky assuming the regular driving duties for the upcoming 23-race campaign.
