Steve Szupka, Willow Groove, Pa., and Ronnie Proctor, Harpers Ferry, W.V., took home the wins in Comp Eliminator and Top Sportsman respectively in the final results from Atco Raceway and the NHRA Lucas Oil Drag Racing Series.

The win light went to Szpuka when he ran 8.239 seconds at 158.74 mph in his final round victory over Tony Terry, Forest, Va., who clocked in at 8.388 seconds, 150.06 mph.

Before bringing home the Wally Proctor had to face off against Jeff Brooks, Fredericksburg, Va., posting a winning run of 7.608 seconds, 136.93 mph in his ’02 Mustang.

Other racers visiting the winner’s circle this weekend were Lincoln Morehead, Marlboro, N.Y., in Super Stock; Anthony Fetch, Clifton, N.J., in Stock Eliminator; John DiBartolomeo, Beaver Springs, Pa., in Super Comp; Jason Kenny, Kingston, Ont., in Super Gas; and Matt Ticcony, Milton, N.Y., in Super Street.  In the division’s Top Dragster class it was Wayne Horton, Smithfield, R.I., taking the win.

Northeast Division racers head to Maple Grove Raceway for the next NHRA Lucas Oil Drag Racing Series event, May 28-30.
