MARK MARTINO PREPARES FOR RETURN TO 1320

Mark Martino and his Martino Motorsports Extreme Pro Stock team secured the number eight qualified position for the elimination rounds, which
will now take place during the rescheduled event July 23-24. This weekend's inaugural event for the newly formed Mountain Motor Pro Stock
Association at Rockingham Dragway will once again give the team an opportunity to compete for their first race win of 2010, and in the
process put them back in a setting they're a little more accustomed to.

After the announcement in the fall of 2009 that the International Hot Rod Association would no longer contest a world championship in the Pro
Stock division, the Mountain Motor Pro Stock Association was formed, giving racers the opportunity to preserve the tradition of the class by
allowing naturally aspirated, large cubic inch engine combinations to run in quarter-mile competition.

allowing naturally aspirated, large cubic inch engine combinations to run in quarter-mile competition.

Along with a schedule that will see him compete in ADRL and NHRA competition in 2010, Martino also felt it necessary to be a part of this
new Pro Stock movement given his passion for quarter-mile drag racing.

"I love racing to the quarter-mile!" said Martino. "I grew up watching quarter-mile drag racing and that's how I got my feet wet when I started
driving, so I guess you could say it's in my blood to run quarter-mile."

The event, which is being held in Rockingham, North Carolina, will take Martino back to a track that he faced twice during the 2009 IHRA season
en route to a sixth place finish in the overall championship standings. And the return to quarter-mile racing will bring with it the tuning
combination that helped him earn his first career number one qualifying effort last season. "We didn't have a lot of success during the two
events we ran here (Rockingham) last season but that aside we do have a lot of data from those races, and from running quarter-mile in general,
that is going to help us when we pull up to the starting line for the first qualifying session on Saturday." stated Martino.
