On Monday, McClenathan defeated Doug Kalitta to win the Arizona Nationals, his 32nd career Top Fuel victory.  With the win, McClenathan moved atop the Top Fuel standings holding a five point lead over Kalitta after two races.

Beckman defeated 14-time World Champion John Force in Monday's Funny Car finals to capture his second career win in Phoenix.  He moved to second place in the Funny Car standings, 37 points behind Force.
