In the final results from Gainesville Raceway and the NHRA Lucas Oil Drag Racing Series, Michael Manners, Willis, Tex. and Steve Harker, Gainesville, Ga. took home the wins in Top Alcohol Dragster and Top Alcohol Funny Car respectively.

Manners worked his way through the field and ran 5.275 seconds at 270.05 mph in his final round victory over Monroe Guest, who clocked in at 5.433 seconds, 269.51 mph.

In the final results from Gainesville Raceway and the NHRA Lucas Oil Drag Racing Series, Michael Manners, Willis, Tex. and Steve Harker, Gainesville, Ga. took home the wins in Top Alcohol Dragster and Top Alcohol Funny Car respectively.

Manners worked his way through the field and ran 5.275 seconds at 270.05 mph in his final round victory over Monroe Guest, who clocked in at 5.433 seconds, 269.51 mph.

Harker faced off against Mickey Ferro and posted a winning run of 5.587 seconds, 257.78 mph.  Ferro drove to a 5.626 second, 257.24 mph lap for his runner up finish.

Other racers visiting the winner’s circle this weekend were Glen Treadwell, Sorrento, Fla. in Comp Eliminator; Jeff Strickland, Red Bay Ala. in Super Stock; Troy Williams Jr., Bradenton, Fla., in Super Comp; Dave Connolly, Bradenton, Fla., in Super Gas; Robbie Shaw, Bowden, Ga. in Stock Eliminator and Joe Skala, Palmetto, Fla., in Super Street.  In the division’s Top Sportsman class it was Anthony Montella, Deerfield Beach, Fla., taking the win while Ray Miller, Spring Hill, Fla. won in Top Dragster.

Southeast Division racers head to Atlanta Dragway for the next NHRA Lucas Oil Drag Racing Series event, March 5-7.
