UPDATE 2 - THEY'RE STILL TRYING IN PHOENIX

1:19 Mountain Time - The clouds parted, the sun came out and NHRA personnel are once again trying to get the track in shape for the two final round runs scheduled for today.

A large heavy rain cell wiped out hours of track drying just minutes before the surface was ready to race on. There is another visible break in the weather and NHRA officials have made no decision at this time.

A break in early morning rain showers has lead to NHRA track workers to start work on drying the surface at Firebird Int'l Raceway. At this time, track drying is going on full steam ahead, fans are walking about the pits and some are even sitting in the stands waiting for the final round match-ups featuring John Force against Jack Beckman and Cory McClenathan again Doug Kalitta.
