HARLEYS SET TO RUMBLE THUNDER VALLEY THIS WEEKEND

Watching the AHDRA professional riders muscle their two-wheel missiles through Thunder Valley at speeds in excess of 220 mph will remind everyone that this sport is not for the faint of heart.

With the walls of Thunder Valley intensifying the famous Harley-Davidson rumble, Bristol Dragway provides the perfect atmosphere for this event, one of the most highly-anticipated and well-attended events of the AHDRA series.

With the walls of Thunder Valley intensifying the famous Harley-Davidson rumble, Bristol Dragway provides the perfect atmosphere for this event, one of the most highly-anticipated and well-attended events of the AHDRA series. 

Fans can expect to see plenty of fast action on the legendary track, with three nitro classes, modified gas bikes, street bikes and more. In all, AHDRA offers 16 classes of competition to make anyone’s engine rev.

The AHDRA’s Screamin’ Eagle Championship Series has reached the halfway mark and the competition will be fierce as several riders try to stay in championship contention. Points leaders show no signs of slowing down and racing is expected to be stronger than ever at the Rush Thunder in the Valley Nationals.

Pre-race activities kick off at the AHDRA Nitro Party at Hooters of Johnson City on Thursday, Aug. 6 with live entertainment, race bike displays, food and much more.  The party begins at 6 p.m.

A test and tune session takes place on Friday beginning at 4 p.m.

Gates open at 7:30 a.m. on Saturday. Qualifying is slated to begin at 9 a.m.  Sunday’s gates open at 8 a.m. Sportsman eliminations begin at 9 a.m., while the professional categories take the track at 12:30 p.m.
