For years top engine builders and drag racers have been modifying stock pumps to make the extra horsepower needed to gain an edge on the competition. They would spend upwards of $500.00 for these modified pumps. We have developed a pump that has these features and more at fraction of the cost. These pumps feature Exclusive Full Flow directional lubrication of idler shaft and gear driven shaft, anti-aeration bleed off of oil supply and a correctly pre-positioned 40 P.S.I. relief valve. Not to mention a 15-20 horsepower gain!

 

NOTE: These pumps are intended for serious drag race applications only. These are extreme duty drag race only pumps designed to be used in drag racing classes where ET is critical such as stock or super stock. These pumps are not intended be used in street, street/strip, or circle track applications.

 

Standard features on the LVDR SBC Oil Pump

  • Exclusive Full Flow directional lubrication of idler shaft and gear driven shaft.
  • Anti-Aeration bleed off of oil supply.
  • High strength Iron alloy casting that uses a casting technique that eliminates 80% of all porosity (70,000 PSI). Most other pumps use a more porous 35,000 PSI design.
  • Mounting bolt neck to housing is 150 grams heavier than most typical pumps – The strongest in the industry!
  • Precision machined for tighter tolerances – this means less pressure loss!
  • No more bleed off problems at idle. Exact mesh gear set to housing bore yields the highest idle PSI.
  • Drilled cap screw for easy cleaning and oil pressure spring change. No more retainer pins to try and knock in and out to change the oil pressure spring.
  • Correct pre-position 40 PSI relief valve.
  • Two extra long bolts attaching the base plate accommodate aftermarket performance bolt-on screen assemblies.
  • Uses standard 5/8” pick-up tube.
  • Gears are 1.000” tall (standard is 1.200”) and v-notch staggered.
  • Cover plate features an anti-cavitation relief groove.
  • Dual port bypass relief.

 

Standard features on the LVDR SB-Ford Oil Pump

  • Exclusive Full Flow directional lubrication of idler shaft and gear driven shaft. This pump also fully lubricates the oil ring rotor OD and the housing ID.
  • Anti-Aeration bleed off of oil supply.
  • High strength iron alloy casting.
  • Precision machined for tighter tolerances – this means less oil pressure loss!
  • No more bleed off problems at idle. Exact mesh gear set to housing bore yields the highest idle PSI
  • Heat Treated Cover Plate – Prevents the gear from wearing into the cover plate to give you unsurpassed consistency and reliability.
  • Correct Pre-Position 40 P.S.I. Relief Valve.
  • Uses standard .630" pick-up tube.
  • Relief Groove Pressure Balanced Gerotor Assembly. Gear Pressure Balancing eliminates gear and rotor pressure locking and hydraulic out of balance. This is the only pump in the industry with this feature!
  • Gears are .660” tall. Standard gears are .875” tall.
