FEEDBACK FRIDAY – FORCE AND HADDOCK: THE THEORY OF RELATIVITY

FEEDBACK ARTICLE: FORCE AND HADDOCK: THE THEORY OF RELATIVITY

10-8-09forceandhaddockI am glad to see John Force doesn't forget where he came from and how he got there. There are too many racers trying to make it and the bad ecomoney doesn't help.I know my wife and I are sportsman racers and trying to keep a sponsor or even trying to get new ones is tuff. We had a sponsorship that lasted 10 years and in 2010 we are strting over because our sponsor of 10 years has to back out due to the auto industry but we will just keep trying and keep knocking on doors and hopefully find a new one in 2010 again our hat's off to John and everything he has done for the sport thank you. - Dan Novotny

The article is 'dead on' with regards to both John Force and Terry Haddock. Both a 'great people'. My son and I would love to see Terry back at the track, as he was really a class act. Hopefully, NHRA will lift the suspension and let him back and he will continue to get (at least) one or two race deal sponsorships and ... hopefully find that full time deal.

As far as John Force. Enough good things cannot be said about him, the message would be too large. He is our friend. He has even referred to my son an I as 'family' (part of his race family). We will always support John Force and his team and stand up for him. He takes car of all his fans, all the time. He is truly the 'Babe Ruth' of NHRA drag racing and the class of the field.

He 'busted his ass' for everything he has, yet, after making it BIG, he (unlike many other drivers) has never forgotten where he came from. He is the REAL DEAL!!! - Mike Burghardt

I thoroughly enjoyed your article on the Force/Haddock similarities. I had not known that Force had taken an interest in Haddock. for all things said about Forc , he is still the consumate drag racer. I do feel that Haddock recieved a raw deal from NHRA for his rules infraction. Why no penalty for Wilkerson's team when the lugs were not tightened properly? NHRA does not seem to appreciate the struggle nor the commitment underfunded racers make to just be racing their {NHRA} events. I for one, hope Haddock locks onto a large money sponsor, I think he would utilize it AND go far in his career. Thanks for letting me get on my soapbox. - Harold Katz

I'm glad you ran this, for many out there don't really know, or understand that John did come from rags, and dug, and fought, never gave up and with God's Graces, made it. I hope for Terry's sake the Graces will come to him, too. - Jack W. Smith
