I do agree with you, I have been a fan and sometimes bracket racer for over 40 years. However I notice in your article that people outside the NHRA are the ones who have done most of the work. NHRA drag racing gets very little exposure. For the last 15 years or so I have been able to find many oval track races on TV every weekend, today I think you can find oval track racing on TV 24/7. Your are hard pressed to find a drag race other than the standard national event coverage. Then the NHRA coverage starting time is pushed back, and fequently shortened,for every minor competition that comes along, like college baseball, womens softball, the national cheer leading competition etc, tell me which of these event get more of an audiance. What realy upsets me about this is that it has been this way for over 40 years. Obviously NHRA isn't trying to improve the situation. NHRA appears to be a top heavy, complacent organization with frequent fits of arrogance and seem to have little interest promoting the sport we love, the attitude seems to be someone else should do it. Today NHRA seems to be all about the dollar, for NHRA not for the racer. - Merritt Snyder
