The fact some part-time teams qualified for the Countdown to the Championship while running a part-time schedule apparently hasn't set well with NHRA. The word floating around the pits is NHRA is consering two items of legislation for the 2020 season. (A) The Countdown will only be comprised of teams who run all 18 regular season events. Or, (B.) There's consideration to implement a bonus point reward for teams which run the full regular season similar to what the IHRA did in year's past.
