One of NHRA’s original seven national events, this race is steeped in
legend: a historic facility, some of the sport’s most knowledgeable
(and definitely most boisterous) fans, and a score of dramatic moments.
The event, once known as the Summernationals, has shifted on the
schedule from its original scorchingly hot and humid July slot to May
and June, and upsets have become the norm.

The IHRA ventures yearly into the Washington, DC market for the Torco
Race Fuels President's Cup Nationals. Originally created as a Pro
Modified marquee event, this national event has developed into a fan
favorite with drag racing's nitro classes. Records are traditionally
set every year at the venture north of the Potomac River.

Allstars, which pits the best Sportsman racers from across the country
in individual and team competition.

Sprawling multipurpose Heartland Park Topeka has been a Midwest
favorite since it opened in 1989, but its dragstrip has gained the
majority of headlines. The event, originally in the fall, has featured
numerous record performances.
