CALL HIM ‘STEVIE-QUICK’ JACKSON, TOO, AFTER SHAKEDOWN MARK AT VMP

“Stevie Fast” Jackson showed why he has the nickname Friday night as he set the Radial vs. The World record at the Shakedown Nationals XVIII presented by FuelTech at Virginia Motorsports Park in North Dinwiddie, Virginia.

The reigning NHRA Pro Mod Champion went 3.520 at 212.46 mph to set the new mark.

“Stevie Fast and the boys go No. 1 @ the Shakedown with a 3.520 at 212,” a caption on Jackson’s Instagram said. “New RvW world record.”

He beat Marcus Birt’s previous record set at the 2019 Fall Shakedown event, also contested at Virginia Motorsports Park, where Birt went 3.575 at 206.10 mph.

“Stevie Jackson crushed the world record last night in RVW,” Virginia Motorsports Park said in a Facebook post. “The atmospheric conditions are better today (Saturday) than yesterday. Is it possible to see the very first 3.4x time slip on a radial today during eliminations?”
