AUSTRALIA’S 400 THUNDER SCHEDULE REVEALED

400 Thunder has released details of their 2021-22 calendar that will start in November and run to June.

The six-round series will feature three events at Willowbank Raceway, Queensland, two at Heathcote Park Raceway, Victoria and a single yet to be confirmed meeting at Sydney Dragway.

The series will include all six Pro categories, including Pro Alcohol, Pro Slammer, Pro Mod, Pro Stock, Top Bike, and Pro Stock Bike.

Sportsman Racing will be included at all rounds.

Top Fuel will not appear at any 400 Thunder events after announcing plans to run their own stand-alone series in 2022.

The 400T season will begin at Heathcote Park Raceway in rural Victoria in November, followed by an appearance at Willowbank Raceway in January and a yet-to-be-confirmed round at Sydney Dragway in February. HPR hosts its second event in March, then a return to Willowbank in April and the Winternationals in June.

Recently refurbished HPR, which has not hosted Pro racing in over a decade, will occupy a unique place on the 2021-22 domestic landscape hosting two 400 Thunder meetings plus a round of the recently announced Australian Top Fuel championship in April.

However, as Australia begins to emerge from the Covid-19 pandemic, ongoing state borders closures and government-mandated bio-security measures will play a significant role in determining the future of the sport across the remainder of 2021 and well into 2022.
