FEEDBACK ARTICLE - WHAT IF? with Dale Wilson

I really like the ideas of the stock eliminator grouping.  I come from an era that had such a thing and the people and their cars [Monster Mash!] involved were as well known as the pros.

But the real reason I am writing is the last lines in his article.  In every poll I have seen, when I have talked to a bunch of fans and even talking to racers the overwhelming majority [at least 75%] want an A/Fuel funny car class.  I know the HRAs on either side don't want the headaches but the amount of cars that would be built for that class would be amazing.  I would suggest that you only limit the size of the fuel pump to a spec pump and one Mag [any kind] and displacement and then leave it alone.  Don't go messing with it, just let them run and see what shakes out.  You would have an instant fan favorite class and it would also develop into other circuits and shows to race because it would be way cheaper than blown Nitro to book in and the crowd would get a dose of nitro.
