FEEDBACK ARTICLE - Awash in a sea of ink

While NHRA may have made some huge strides mediawise in '06, far too many people have NO idea what professional drag racing is!  At Pomona about 5 years ago, I ran into a character (Richard the Scary Stagehand) from the Tonight Show with Jay Leno.  We talked for about 10 minutes, I asked why doesn't Jay do a piece at the track or something?  He said Nobody has ever invited him!  With Pomona's close proximity to Hollywood I think NHRA blowing a Golden Opportunity media wise.  The Celebrity races they used to hold back in the 80's-early 90's were awesome. Why were they discontinued???   And the real tale of the Media's success with NHRA in '06 has to be the TV ratings?   Anyone? - Joe Sherwood
