The NHRA Lucas Oil Drag Racing Series is set to kick off its 2024 season at Orlando Speed Dragway from Feb. 15-17. This event marks the beginning of the series and its race teams, with several initiatives in place to enhance the racing experience. One significant change is the comprehensive free coverage plan, which will allow fans to stream the races for free on NHRA.tv and the NHRA YouTube page. Throughout the 2024 season, a total of 37 Lucas Oil Drag Racing Series events will be available for free streaming on these platforms.
Fans can check out the first NHRA racing action of the year, which will be accessible to them at no cost. The season-long free coverage will encompass all seven NHRA divisions, ensuring that fans can enjoy the thrilling races from the Lucas Oil Drag Racing Series throughout the year.

Former IHRA President Billy Meyer had the vision to simplify sportsman drag racing, and in one fell sweep kicked the popular Modified, Super Stock and Stock eliminators to the curb They were replaced by indexed bracket divisions ranging from 7.90 to 12.90 indexes.
Meyer wanted to simplify the explanation of grassroots racing to the casual race fan.
The plan was Factory Modified.
