PATTERSON-ELITE TO CAMPAIGN FACTORY SUPER CARS AT NMCA

Expanding their COPO Camaro racing program, Patterson Elite Performance will campaign cars in both Factory Super Cars and Chevrolet Performance Stock in the 2018 NMCA race season.

Owned and driven by Ted Hughes, of Seward, NE, and sponsored by Omaha Track, both COPO Camaros will be based out of the racing stables of Patterson Elite Performance in Augusta, KS. This will be both Hughes’ and Patterson’s first year competing in the Chevrolet Performance Stock category.

“This is our third season racing Ted’s cars out of our shop. Ted’s a top-notch driver and a pleasure to work with. I’m excited to see what the 2018 CP Stock season will hold,” said Todd Patterson, owner of Patterson Elite, “Every run down the track teaches us more, and we can take that knowledge and apply it to every COPO we build.”

CP Stock is a naturally aspirated heads-up class designed for 1955 and newer GM bodied vehicles. All cars use a production OEM Sealed Chevrolet Performance DR525 crate engine combined with a factory Chevrolet Performance sealed ECM and installation kit, on accepted suspension and at the same base weight.

"CP Stock was really appealing to me because I love to race in heads-up classes and this looked like a lot of fun. I'm also hoping someday to get to pass this car down to my son to drive," says Hughes.
