BTE AND YUKON GEAR SUPPORT FOOTBRAKE RACING

Two of the largest and greatest footbrake races in the country have long received support from two great companies and 2017 is no different.

Both the World Footbrake Challenge and the Southern Footbrake Challenge events run and produced by Coalburg Racing Promotions, is pleased to once again announce that both events will carry the title-rights sponsorship from famed transmission and converter company BTE Racing. The World Footbrake Challenge will also carry Yukon Gear & Axle as the presenting sponsor

“This year will mark the 11th anniversary of the World Footbrake Challenge in July at the famed Bristol Dragway in Tennessee,” said Coalburg co-promoter Jared Pennington, “and for each of those years, we are so proud to have the support of a great company like BTE. They have always believed in the backbone of the sport and our customer base is of extreme value to them. Everyone from the late Bill Taylor to the late Paul Barrentine and now his son Brandon along with each of their employees have been behind us from the very beginning and we can’t thank them enough. For the fifth straight year, the Southern Footbrake Challenge will be held in October at Holly Springs Motorsports facility in Mississippi, also receiving support from BTE.”

Through the efforts of Neal Hollingworth and Jeremy Sears, Yukon has been expanding into drag racing with a serious effort toward supporting bracket racing. “Three years ago, Yukon joined us at the WFC as a round prize sponsor,” says Pennington, “and they saw just what we’ve seen all these years; that our footbrake racers are some of the best and most loyal in the world. For 2016, Yukon stepped up as the presenting sponsor and the ’17 version will mark the second year in a row with them.”
